Former Jeffs Return for Alumni Game

November 8, 2006

AMHERST, MA – More than 20 Amherst College men's basketball alumni will return to LeFrak Gymnasium Friday to scrimmage the current team and each other. Games will begin at 5:15 p.m., followed by an alumni basketball dinner at 7:45 p.m.

The current team will kick things off by scrimmaging a select group of alumni to conclude the day's practice. The main event - a friendly contest between two teams of alumni - will begin at 6:15 p.m. The game will feature some of Amherst basketball's greatest names, including Josh Hamermesh ’94, Ben Batory ’94, Jamal Wilson ’97, Brian Daoust ’01 and Adam Harper ’04. Wilson, Harper and Batory all played professional ball in Europe for four years, and rank among Amherst's all-time leading scorers.

Other successful alumni will also attend, including best-selling author Harlan Coben ’84, actor Ken Howard ’66 (a.k.a “The White Shadow”) and well-known Boston attorney Mark Miliotis ’72.
